Contact USTaxGauge
Email admin@ustaxgauge.com. One address covers everything: data errors, sources, the calculators, advertising and general questions.
Reporting a data error
Include the address of the page, the tax year it shows, the figure you believe is wrong and, if you have it, a link to the state or IRS document that supports the correction. The corrections page explains what happens next and how changes are recorded.
Sources and data requests
Every figure on the site names the state revenue department, statute or IRS document it came from, with the date it was retrieved; the full list is on the sources page. If a state has published a new rate schedule, deduction or credit amount that is not reflected yet, a link to the publication is the most useful thing to send. Questions about how a figure is calculated are answered on the methodology page, including what each calculation leaves out.
What happens to your message
Messages are read by the people who maintain the data. An error report is checked against the primary source before anything changes, and a confirmed correction is recorded with the date it was made. Your address is used only to reply to you; it is not added to any mailing list or shared.
Questions about your own taxes
USTaxGauge publishes tax rates, brackets and estimates for comparison. It cannot advise on an individual return. For that, contact your state's department of revenue, the IRS, or a tax professional. Every state page links to the department that publishes its figures.
Advertising
The site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers do not choose or review the content, and ads do not affect any figure. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies work.
